The Lazy Artist

The Lazy Artist was an AI image generation platform that made it easy for anyone to create stunning visuals using generative AI, delivered where communities already live — Discord. The bot was deployed across 170 servers reaching 7,000+ members, generating roughly 6,000 images before the platform was wound down over GPU unit economics.Built the entire platform end-to-end — from the AI pipeline and GPU inference infrastructure on Google Cloud to the credit economy, rate limiting, and admin analytics dashboard.Key highlights:

• Deployed to 170 Discord communities totaling 7,000+ members
• Natural-language inpainting via automatic SAM mask generation — no canvas UI needed
• LoRA fine-tuning from 10–20 reference images, outpainting, upscaling, 200+ styles
• Tiered credit economy with per-model unit economics targeting 50–75% gross margin
• Accepted to the Google Cloud Startup Program ($3K credits + engineering mentorship)
